“Join us upstairs” is the slogan chosen by The Attico to outline its philosophy. An invitation to follow Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio, creators and at the same time muses of the brand, to an ideal penthouse, symbol of prestige and exclusivity.
It is in fact a luxurious and elitist conception of fashion that animates the clothes and accessories of the brand, which was founded in 2016 with the idea of creating a mood that mixes the different personalities of Giorgia and Gilda. Entrepreneurs and it-girls among the most loved by street style photographers around the world, the former is reserved and discrete, while the latter, bolder, but both are united by a great sense of style. The result is, as stated by the two designers, a “modern vintage”.
The protagonists of the collections are the dresses, which highlight the sensuality of the female body by getting inspiration from the glamour of the past. If among the first renowned creations are Old Hollywood diva inspired robe dresses, season after season the brand has been evolving and proposing clothing lines ranging from sleek mini dresses, palazzo trousers and refined jackets, and it also launched its own line of shoes and bags, which have quickly become true objects of desire.
All this thanks to the strong sartorial and artisanal component of the collections, as well as the love for precious and eye-catching materials. Fluid silks and sumptuous brocades alternate with feather decorations, sequins and crystals in colours reminiscent of those of precious stones and metals.
A hedonistic and eclectic aesthetic, which is also confirmed by the Autumn-Winter 2019/2020 collection, strongly inspired by the characteristic styles and silhouettes of the eighties. Bright hues developed in striking colour block modes or graphic prints create whimsical pleated mini dresses, sequin embellished dresses that caress the body like a second skin, soft and flowing coats and dare sometimes metallic nuances and textural contrasts.
Accessories do not go unnoticed: feathered gloves and circular buckle maxi belts are combined with colourful ostrich feather bags, pointed-toe pumps, strictly stiletto slouchy boots and platform sandals, all to make a triumphant entrance with.
