An unexplored planet where the highest level of artificial intelligence technology has been reached and, at the same time, a rich diversity of nature has been preserved: flora and fauna coexist harmoniously, after metamorphosis and alien mutations. It is “Naravanna”, the source of inspiration for the Spring-Summer 2019 SIRIVANNAVARI collection, called “Abode of Metamorphosis”, ideated by Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajaka, which proposes ultra-feminine silhouettes, refined embroidery and graphic prints typical of the Maison.

The princess chose to present it for the first time in the European fashion capital, Milan: the Spring-Summer 2019 women’s collection will be available from June 4 to July 1 at Rinascente in Milan in the dedicated Pop-up shop on the fourth floor of the department store.

Also available for the first time, on the same dates, the S’homme collection, dedicated to men’s proposals, on the second floor.

“It is an ideal journey to NARAVANNA, the unknown world in the universe in which all lives coexist in peace. its creatures, in particular mutants, inspired me for this latest collection, with graphics taken from AI motherboards, African inspired crafts and space age details”, explained the princess, the creative director of the brand. “The silhouettes and structures of this season are quite varied and complicated, marked by deconstructed looks and asymmetrical cuts. In addition, I added some small details and techniques to create new dimensions such as the quilted style, the pleating technique of Gérard Lognon workshop in Paris and embroidery inspired by Maasai Mara, produced in our own laboratory”.

The collection features 67 outfits, of which 59 for womenswear and 8 for menswear. It also includes a parka look, consisting of a lurex tweed bolero paired with a matching dress, a cut-out detailed dress with a fluid chiffon skirt in an original print and a cocktail dress with metallic quilted detail echoing the space age theme. And for those who want an ultra-feminine look, the collection also features a tulle blouse with zebra sequins and hand-sewn feather details and a white corset dress with a double layer of fringes.

Graphic prints, one of the brand’s key elements, remain an essential trait: for this season, the Princess visually translated her imagination, including those details that are part of Naravanna, such as mutants, alien creatures, AI motherboards and cogwheels.

The same concept inspired the fine and custom jewellery proposal: the jewellery collection – with the ‘S’ and ‘Peacock’ emblem of the Maison features rings, earrings and necklaces in 18kt rose gold adorned with mother of pearl, pearls, lapis lazuli and malachite. The costume jewelry collection is modern and fun, in 14kt gold plated silver and brass, studded with Swarovski crystals, feathers, beads from the Kazuri laboratory in Kenya.

To complete the day look, the collection has exclusive Italian leather items, including a python bucket bag with shaped pendants, a zebra bucket bag adorned with feathers and pendants and a clutch with the peacock print badge. The shoe collection proposes different styles, from casual sandals with African beads and feather embellishments, to dual tone ankle strap classic shoes in different materials and sexy and elegant leopard print shoes.

And since summer is at the door, the Princess created a beachwear collection that allows all women to feel confident In their body thanks to shape enhancing silhouettes. The activewear line has also been launched.

S’homme, the men’s collection, celebrates an elegant gentleman. The key feature includes a beige sweatshirt hooded trench coat with emblems on the sleeves, a yellow safari jacket paired with dark blue shorts and a sage green two-button suit. The main inspiration for this season’s shirts are African colour inspired stripes and shorts. The collection also includes men’s leather items, such as patterned loafers, sandals with beaded African embroidery, and the Princess’ exclusive print clutches and duffel bags. The SS19 proposal offers fine jewellery and fashion accessories, such as a white gold ring decorated with mother of pearl, lapis lazuli and malachite and leather necklaces with pendants. There is also a bathrobe and swimsuit line.
