Spaces designed by talents of architecture and design, the charm of the Aqua Virgo aqueduct, the view of Rome from above. The flagship store in via del Tritone, in the heart of the historic center of the Capital is one year old. Eight floors featuring the best in fashion, beauty, design and gourmet and, in the basement, an amazing archaeological site to visit. The inauguration took place a year ago, after a complex renovation work which lasted 11 years, aimed at combining in perfect harmony its architectural appearance with the historical and cultural resources of the territory.
To perfectly celebrate the first anniversary of the new Roman flagship store, Rinascente created, in collaboration with Paolo Sorrentino, a short-film entitled “Piccole avventure romane” (Little Roman Adventures), which will be presented for the special occasion.
The Neapolitan director and screenwriter’s The Great Beauty, starring Toni Servillo, Carlo Verdone and Sabrina Ferilli, was screened for the first time at the Cannes Film Festival. The film won Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards, as well as the Golden Globe and the BAFTA award in the same category, plus five EFAs including the one for Best European Film, Best Director and Best Actor.
An important project, which will be enhanced by many special initiatives: from the 12th to the 24th of October, the store windows will be customised with the “Piccole avventure romane” theme, photographic prints of backstage images and videos that reproduce the teaser. In the exhibition area (accessible to the public from the afternoon of October 12) an exhibition dedicated to the film, with backstage printed photographic images and synopsis texts will be set up, while on a big screen, Sorrentino movie scenes and backstage videos will be shown. All the materials on show will be uploaded to a special mini website created ad hoc for the event, and will be on air on the day of Rinascente Tritone’s birthday.
For a celebration in pure Rinascente style, among art, talent and beauty.
