It is no coincidence that Copenhagen Fashion Week has become almost as important as those of London, Milan, Paris and New York. In fact, an increased number of brands from Northern Europe has been conquering, as well as the heart of fashion professionals, also a huge slice of the market. And the success lies precisely in the innate and powerful creative style that in recent years has strongly emerged from Scandinavian young talents. A style characterized by clean, well designed lines, often revisited in cuts and proportions. For the Spring Summer 2019 season, collections are enriched with feminine details and pastel shades that contribute to give the look a more romantic but never overpowering allure.
In Ganni total look, for example, the masculine cotton shirt dares balloon sleeves, a soft pink nuance and flaunts a bow to be tied around the waist. It is paired with subtle hued flared jeans and with a pair of white pumps by ATP.
Even dark velvet trousers, still by Ganni, can be easily softened by the combination with an enveloping and cosy canary yellow knit by Baum Und Pferdgarten.
Once again, it’s Ganni to propose an alternative version of denim. Linear, neat, seemingly retro and with visible seams, in a pink and black chromatic combination that allows both shades to flawlessly stand out. Acne Studios ankle boots and Maria Black earrings complete the look.
Floral prints and motifs also peak out in Scandy fashion. Baum Und Pferdgarten opts for a graphic and at the same time romantic pink and yellow pattern to enliven a Neo hippie dress with a simple and super flattering silhouette, perfect with Cornelia Webb hoop earrings.
